Launch the Previewer tool to preview your book. Take the time to ensure each page appears exactly as intended. Hovering over the pages of your book will bring up arrows you can click to navigate backwards and forwards through each page of your book.

Amazon will flag any issues it detects, such as images or text outside the margins. These will appear on the left side of the screen.  If it detects any spelling errors, they will appear on the right side of the screen.

Taking up the majority of the screen is the preview of our example book's interior. There is an error sign because the text is beyond the trim lines.

Depending on the issues, the preview tool may be able to correct them automatically. In our example, Amazon gave us the option to correct the manuscript size in order to avoid text being outside of the trim area, which it did relatively successfully:

It is important to carefully review each page yourself, as the Amazon tool may not catch every error.

After checking your book thoroughly, click Approve in the bottom-right of the preview tool.

Note – clicking Approve typically returns you to the top of the Content page. If you are publishing an e-book, you still have information to complete at the bottom of the page.

If you are publishing a paperback or hardback, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select ‘Save and Continue’ to move forward through the process. You will notice that at the bottom of the page there is now a Summary box which details your printing costs.
