AI Declaration – Federation of BC Writers Administrative Framework

Amazon distinguishes between AI-assisted and AI-generated work. You can find Amazon’s definitions here.

In summary, Amazon considers using AI tools to brainstorm, refine, edit or error-check as AI-Assisted. This does not need to be declared.

Using AI to create content (images, text or translations) is classed as AI-Generated and must be declared.

If you select yes to indicate AI-generated content, you will be prompted to select which areas of the book were AI-generated and the extent to which AI was used. Select the most appropriate.
