https://kahoot.com/ – at its most basic, you can use Kahoot to build quizzes for participants to answer. You will need an account to build a quiz, but the participants will be able to answer it without signing up themselves.

https://padlet.com/, https://www.mural.co/ and https://ziteboard.com/ are non-Zoom whiteboard options. All have free options with limited but useful features.
https://www.classroomscreen.com/distance-learning/ (Paid website with free trial) – though obviously geared towards traditional school classes / classrooms, some of the widgets available in Classroom can be useful tools (e.g. the stopwatch, the timer, the random name generator, the poll tool). https://web.hypothes.is/ – (Paid and free options) – Hypothesis is an online annotation tool which allows you to annotate in groups.
