Before your workshop begins:
- Have a comfortable pair of headphones and a microphone to avoid feedback and ensure clear audio.
- Make sure you have a quiet, distraction-free space to host from.
- Check that all your resources and links are functioning.
- Familiarize yourself with the appropriate Zoom features (eg screen sharing, breakout rooms, mute/unmute functions).
- Test all your equipment, and ensure that you feel comfortable using it.
During the workshop:
Pre-set your meeting to mute. Don’t forget to inform participants that they will have to un-mute if they have something to say!
At the beginning of the workshop, spend a short amount of time covering session etiquette to help ensure the session runs smoothly. This may include keeping microphones muted, when to use the Chat feature, and using the Raised Hand feature if you have a question.
